The Audiobooks of Raythe Reign

cursed_1audioA lot of people have predicted the “end of books” – video killed the radio star kind of stuff – but we at Raythe Reign know better!  Stories never go out of style, and more and more people are discovering how awesome audiobooks are.  (Especially in their daily commute.)

Not only does good narration give new life to stories, but it makes them last longer…

What’s so great about audiobooks through Amazon / Audible is that they make it pretty easy to get them at less than full price.

  • Often, audio books are just a few dollars extra if you’ve already bought the book through Amazon.  There is an option to add Audible narration.
  • If you’re a new Audible subscriber, you get 2 free books.

Here are all the audiobooks we’ve released to date, in reverse chronological order:

Audiobooks are so much awesome. I think I own about 200 on Audible (including all of the above) and bunch others from other formats.

Ah another lover! You exceed my collection but I just got into it a few years ago.

I have maybe one or two audio books.

Honestly after hearing excerpts from the above titles I think I would get the ones narrated by Chris Patton, but probably not the ones with Michael Pauley. Pauley’s just not as animated as his predecessor.

You know I feel the exact opposite! Which just shows that each person has differs likes and dislikes. Patton is great don’t get me wrong but his voice is too high in my opinion and he wasn’t my idea of how the characters sounded.

Sorry I agree with Jamie. I didn’t like Michael Pauley, his British accent is no good.

It’s totally ok! People like and dislike different things. I was really pleased with it.

Audiobooks aren’t my cuppa tea usually because I prefer to use my imagination as much as possible. Odd considering that even as an adult I love to listen as people tell stories. Perhaps it has to do with my not liking indirect communication; I like to see the body language and have a pause for reactions. Stories and conversations are interactive connections that fall short when an element is not there.

I love audiobooks because to me it’s like a talented person telling a story. I can listen to them I situations where I can’t read like the car and going to sleep. I spend so much time reading in general that it’s a relief to not use my eyes.

Have them all. And I love them.

Unfortunately, I don’t have the attention span to listen to audio books. The words go through one ear and out the other. I usually have music in the background but I’m not really listening to it as I just zone it out. I think I caught myself 3 times drifting off through Raythe’s video on Ever Dark and vampires and it was only 6 minutes. My eyes are a much better medium than my ears ever will be.
